Founder’s Message

When we first came together as alumni of Mymensingh Zilla School Batch 1992, our intention was simple — to give back to society in a meaningful way. But very quickly, we realized that charity alone is not enough. A one-time donation may ease a moment, but it does not change a life.
That realization gave birth to Obolombon.
We envisioned a platform where support would go beyond immediate relief — where families could be empowered with the means to earn, to grow, and to stand on their own feet with dignity. The idea was not just to help people survive, but to help them build a future. Every initiative we take is rooted in that belief. Whether it is creating income opportunities, supporting healthcare, responding to disasters, or investing in the youth — our focus remains on long-term impact. We want every individual we support to be eventually self-sufficient.
Obolombon is not the effort of one person; it is the collective commitment of many. It is built on trust, sincerity, and a shared responsibility to stand beside those in need — not above them, but with them.
As we move forward, our vision remains clear: to create a society where support leads to self-reliance, and where compassion translates into sustainable change.
I invite you to be part of this journey — to contribute, to collaborate, and to help us create more stories of strength, dignity, and independence.
